| The Debris Section is the only part of Technora's Second Division which is financially in the red, and Division Chief Dolph would like to get the "Union" to assign it more profitable debris to recover. As a result, the obnoxious playboy Colin Clifford, a son of the Union Chairman, pays the section a visit, escorted by Dolph's assistant, Ms. Claire. The two visitors invite themselves to accompany the next recovery mission. Clifford's visit is entirely off the record, and a rule against carrying passengers is ignored. The Section Chief and Rabi are in terror of Clifford, who has the influence to make or break their careers, and beg Tanabe to look after him. Hachimaki and Ms. Claire joined the company at the same time, and were friends until she was promoted to the elite Control Section. After the usual recovery task is completed, Claire asks for a diversion on their way back to "seven" to give Clifford a look at the communications satellite Euca.
