| Synopsis |
| Sana is upset after seeing Asako leave the Kurata household, and demands to know what's going on. Her mother asks her if she thinks her "love" for Rei is real. At school, Tsuyoshi's little sister Aono comes to Sana's classroom for an autograph. She's carrying an ordinary supermarket egg which she thinks will hatch into a chick. Sana gets the idea of buying a genuine chick which she will sneak into Aono's purse. But Hayama warns that doing so might not be such a good idea after all. Later, Mrs. Kurata tells Sana "You may think you're in love, but Sagami-kun never has been". She reveals that Rei turns in the allowance money which Sana gives him so that it can be deposited in a bank account. "Then you were really just playing my boyfriend?" Sana asks. She feels ashamed and runs off. |

| A remarkably touching and well thought-out episode, even more so, I think, than the one in which Hayama's family problems were resolved. Especially clever was the connection Sana draws between what has happened to her and her plan to provide Aono with a real live chick. |
