Omake: (Style) A Japanese word (御負け, often written おまけ ?) that means extra or bonus. In terms of anime, it refers to bonus or extra 'episodes' (released via the internet or on DVDs) of a series in which the characters are presented in a comically exaggerated, ↗chibi or ↗superdeformed manner. Unlike many other anime releases, this isn't just an additional audio track for the normal episode, this is several (super-deformed) animated main characters of the episode talking about their own behavior and thoughts, showing assorted scenes of the episode on a TV set in their room (and occasionally inviting their seiyuu to the discussion) and commenting on the development in general as well as on their respective character traits.
