Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou, Murabito A ni Tensei Suru

I watched three new shows last night, and they all had one thing in common: to some extent, each seemed to have copied the premise of an earlier anime, in this case Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha. In both cases, what seems to be an ordinary person is in fact the reincarnation of someone with fantastic magical skills who was (or was considered equal to) a Demon Lord. For me, if a show does not have an original premise, it will need to be at least as good, if not better, than its predecessor. And unfortunately for this title, I found the previous show to be pretty fun while this one seemed rather weak. We get simplistic gags like the once great Demon Lord who is now a ten-year-old boy lacks the social skills to even make friends. No matter how I look at it this felt like a simplistic, uninteresting and unfunny show. I could not muster the patience to struggle through one complete episode and quit early.
