| A beautiful girl travelling alone in a spaceship comes under attack. Her ship is boarded by what appears to be a hologram of the nefarious Count Papacharino Nanadan, and she races to find the "tracer" device which has led him to her. She succeeds (finding it in a curious location), but her ship is badly damaged and crashlands on a remote planet. Among the wreckage which showers down upon the planet is an innocuous device which is found by the locals and reverred as a "Holy Object". One day it vanishes and it is soon realized that Aun, the village chief's daughter, has stolen it to run away to her idol, Laman of Peperon. Her half-brother, Photon, is sent to retrieve both Aun and the object. The incredibly strong but simple minded Photon rescues Aun from desert bandits (with the assistance of her own curious ability to "suspend motion" when she's in a panic). But Aun is determined to reach the "troubadour" Laman, and slips away while Photon is asleep (after scrawling a bit of grafitti on his forehead). Photon pursues her, but falls into a trap she has set. He falls into a deep crevice, where he discovers the wrecked spaceship--and it's pilot in suspended animation... |
