Since I don't like hentai and won't ever buy it, I won't spoil the review rating system and will leave this "Unevaluated". That being said, I talked myself into seeing this title since it was done by Kajishima Masaki who also did Tenchi Muyo. If it weren't for the hentai parts of Spaceship Agga Ruter, I would have really enjoyed this. It is really funny at times, well drawn, and what I'd expect from AIC and Kajishima. After seeing all four episodes, I think I understand better why Kajishima put all of the nudity into the Tenchi Muyo series -- he thinks it is funny!

What if Kajishima Masaki turned Tenchi Muyo into a hentai title, combining it with elements of El Hazard? Spaceship Agga Ruter is what you'd get! While this is a hentai title for sure, the opening scene confirms this, it is a whole lot more.
First there is the humor. This series is absolutely histerical! Even while still in shock over the apperent mother-son sex, Kei's abrupt change from passion to dead serious, "No, that's not it. Two-centimeters to the right" before returning to passion made me laugh. If you've seen Tenchi Muyo, there are some obvious jokes to tie you back to that series, including the pink bow, and the design of the Agga Ruter. Plus, there are tons of other humorous situations, especially as the naive but bold Taiyo "communicates" with different women he meets in the series. Plus, all of the women in the series can't get dates and are hooked on romantic dating-sym games. While they lose their sym guy, they all gane Taiyo. The story is as good as Tenchi Muyo OAV. The characters are developed nicely and are very likeable, especially after "communicating" with Taiyo. The story is very interesting, but sadly there were only four episodes produced. So there are a lot of unanswered questions about the story and that's one of the main reasons to buy this title. Sexually speaking, breasts and buttocks are all you are going to see. There is a fair amount of sex, and it is somewhat erotic, though Taiyo banging Janis when she's in her "Ryo-Ohki" cat-huminoid-female form was creepy as was Taiyo calling Kei "mother" in the heat of passion. However, sex only plays a partial role in this title, which for everything else it is, also appears to be a parody of hentai in general as well as male sexual fantasies.
