Experimental new feature

I've added (at least for a little while) a chat-with-me feature to the site. You'll now see a click-to-chat bar in the bottom right of every page. It'll open up an IM conversation with me. (If I'm not around it'll say that too.) This is provided by Hab.la by the way.

Hmm, it seems to have broken itself now. At least I'm not getting any messages when I test. More investigation will be required. [Edit: Yay, and now it's fixed!] [Edit: Kind of. Well, I guess I did say "experimental new feature" =p]

OOOOHHHHH This is going to scare someone .... I was just clearing out spam from my inbox and at first, I wondered if I downloaded some malware ..... YESH!!! It had me going for a few seconds.

heh, well, maybe I should customize the text a bit to make it more obvious its part of the site.

How about just putting it at the top of the website instead of it floating.

Hmm, they do have a way to have it start hidden and then have an element in in the site open it. Maybe I can make something work with that. It is distracting having it appear shortly after the page loads on every page load.

Hope you get that 'disappearing' feature working. Wow that is really annoying in the lower right.

...and sometimes it blocks part of the text of short pages and the only way to read the blocked text is by squeezing it into the narrow space between the chat box and the bottom of the screen (Not more than one line at a time!).

Disabled for the weekend as I'm not gonna be around anyway. I'll try and find a better way of displaying it after. (I tried putting it in the upper right hand corner where there's nothing, but that was actually more annoying.)

That feature was very useful. It was certainly one of the better ideas that have been floating around recently. With a few tweaks, it can be perfected.

I hope to see it again soon...
