A mixed bag of an episode. The games club arc went so well, we didn't need Kirino back in the story at all. But with Kuroneko's "jinx" and Saori's teasing on the phone I got what I was hoping for, and in a way this episode did well in closing all open ends of this story while perfectly allowing a sequel.

I was looking forward to more non-Kirino stuff, but I guess this episode offered an OK conclusion. I'm not saying I was thrilled; the kiss scene hardly moved me at all. He still depends on Kirino as much as ever, apparently, but perhaps she has matured a little in that there wasn't too much physical abuse going on. I'm a little uncomfortable with the implication that Kirino needs to excel, and could only bear to leave America if she defeated a rival first. The future may not bode well for such a girl.
