Koi Kaze - 2: Apprehension of Spring

Title:Koi Kaze
Episode:2: Apprehension of Spring
Synopsis

Nanoka adjusts to her new life living with her father and oniichan in the house which she was born in. However, Koushiro is having a harder time of things, seemingly not happy about being called "oniichan" and having a little sister around the house, especially since he'd opened himself so much to her earlier when he didn't know her. Nanoka senses his discomfort, and discusses it at lunch at school with one of her friends.

She tries to do nice things for him, like make him a cute bento for lunch, which of course causes some mild teasing on the part of his co-workers. Koushiro now dreads the thought of returning home, but Nanoka comes to his job after school, wishing to be closer to him. His female boss rescues her from the guy who's into dating high school girls amd escorts Nanoko up to see her brother. His boss suggests that they go out for a meal. He's mad at her for coming to see him and demands that she not come by to see him, nor call him "oniichan." This makes her a bit mad, but when Koushiro returns to work, he looks out to see her looking depressed as she walks away down the street.

The next day, Nanoko discusses this with her friend Futaba-chan, irritated that her older brother is such a jerk. Her friend suggests that they go out and have some fun together after school to blow off some steam. Meanwhile, Koushiro's boss gives him a hard time about the way he treated Nanoka, especially since his sister only wanted to be closer to him. She wonders if it is because of his recent breakup. That evening, Nanoka and Futaba-chan go to an ice cream shop. Futaba-chan's junior high friend Youko encounters them there and invites them to karaoke with her and her friends, which they accept.

When Koushiro returns home, his father is all worried because Nanoka has called saying she'll be late. However, Koushiro isn't worried, but his father keeps crying with worry. Nanoka gets frightened on the way home and calls home, only to get an angry ear full from Koushiro. She gets angry in return and decides to head home via the alley anyway. She reflects on their "first" meeting where he cried in fron of her when they talked about their failed relationships. To her surprise, Koushiro comes up on a bike to escort her home. Because he didn't want her to call him "oniichan," she finds it difficult to talk with her older brother, so in the end he relents and tells her to call him what she likes. "Oniichan" it is then.

Hmmmm...not sure what to say. Very angst-filled stuff here. We'll see what happens.
