While flying to a Okinohikari Island, Ryo and Kaori have a close call when their airplane develops some problems (to put it mildly). They manage to reach the island, only to have a run-in with a gang of jiageya (criminals who extort people into selling property for a fraction of it's true value). Afterwards, they meet their client, Chihiro, who is carrying on her grandfather's work of preserving the island as a nature sanctuary. Why the jiageya have become interested in Okinohikari island is a mystery. There is no electricity here, and Ryo laments "A life without pachinko, or cabarets or dirty books... I can't stand it!" |
