Koikoi 7 - 7: Storm Of White Lilies, Aah, How Beautiful You Are! I Think Of You From Far Away

Title:Koikoi 7
Episode:7: Storm Of White Lilies, Aah, How Beautiful You Are! I Think Of You From Far Away
Synopsis
Parody : Maria-sama Ga Miteru

The Goukou Academy is readying for the Three Lights Festival. Tetsuro's uniform is ruined by spilled paint, and there are no more male uniforms. With Asuka's help, he both crossdresses and pretends to be a girl to avoid embarassment. Miya-sama is immediately entranced by this "beautiful girl" who she presumes is a transfer student. She tricks Asuka, then whisks "Tetsuko" away with her. Meanwhile, Kanemi-sensei does some checking up on "eyepatch girl"/Rei clone (actually the Celonius Mark 28), and as she had suspected, finds that "she became a student by sneaking past the system's security and altering the data". She makes a phone call to the "Syndicate" to ask what the Mark 28 is doing at the school. The man she speaks with seems surprised, and mentions that the Mark 28 has a heart now. Miya-sama asks "Tetsuko" to always be her friend, and exchanges ribbons with her--I mean him--as a token of their trust and friendship. She takes him on a tour of her estate which reveals a side of her personality which Tetsuro never knew existed; he wonders if "Higashikazuno-san is really a good person?". All this time the Mark 28 is shadowing them, and asking itself (herself?) "Am I not good enough?"...

At the end the Mark 28 makes her move and steals a kiss from 'Tetsuko' and as she leaves, she gives her name, Yayoi Asuka (FYI:That's the pink haired girl's name)

I kinda worry that if I get too involved in the plot of this show I'll only be disappointed, because it may turn out that there is no serious plot to begin with! One thing I've noticed is that if a show is godawful funny, I don't worry about trifles like plot, but if it's only semi-amusing (like KoiKoi 7) I seem to automatically go looking for an intriguing plot to compensate for the modest humor. We're already seven episodes into this series, but I haven't a clue about the nature of "The Syndicate", what Kanemi-sensei's relationship to it is, or why the KoiKoi 7 or the Mark 28 were created. This episode provided a number of hints about the Mark 28: It has a heart, it seems to be operating on it's own, it has been watching over Tetsuro "Forever" and it regards Asuka as a rival for his affection. "That time", it says at one point, I just watched... I wasn't even allowed to touch you". Apparently "that time" was a reference to an occasion when Tetsuro and Asuka met as children. The episode ended by raising a much larger question than any it answered, involving the identities of Asuka and Mark 28 (should I describe the Mark 28 as "it" or "her"?). Also, I was starting to feel sorry for Miya-sama!

Oh my, a Maria-sama parody. They even call poopyhead Mia-sama throughout the episode.
