I'm getting tired of this 'Monstrine' business. It is a powerful, mind controlling drug that The Fourth are selling. But I find it hard to take seriously (it can somehow transform people into bizarre monsters) and also unconvincing is all the attention devoted to Ether. What about the business of Mutou needing to kill Akari? That is the critical conflict of this show, and the Monstrine investigation feels like a waste of time in comparison. This show had seemed to have a tightly knit, well disciplined plot early on, but I find myself becoming more and more disenchanted with it lately. It has gotten to the point where I am thinking of dropping it altogether.
