Stretch: The biggest battle yet is looming in episode eleven; the scene where the Gardes roar out of their hangar on Sidonia and come racing at the viewer had me giggling with excitement. Will the newly commissioned Izana survive his/her first battle? What effect is the Hoshijiro alien having? How will Tanikaze break through the swarm of Gauna? All sorts of exciting questions come to mind and there's clearly a lot at stake, given how wrapped up I have gotten in this show and how much I like the characters whose lives are on the line. Perhaps the biggest question of all: can the series end in just one or two more episodes? Or is a continuation in the cards? There still seem to be a lot of only partially answered questions in the story, but unfortunately that's no guarantee that complete answers ever will come about, especially when an anime is based on an incomplete manga.
