| Synopsis |
| Yasuna has invited everyone to take a trip to the beach. Tomari is surprised to have been invited, seeing as she is Yasuna's chief rival for Hazumu's affection. Asuta is looking forward to a "guy-to-guy bonding experience" with his longtime friend Hazumu, except he forgot Hazumu isn't exactly a "guy" anymore. Hitoshi-sensei and Jan-Puu are at the beach as well, and Jan-Puu introduces herself to Hazumu's friends for the first time. The explanation Hitoshi comes up with about just who she is horrifies Namiko-sensei, who has turned up as well. Hitoshi has a curious taste when it comes to bathing suits, and the bikini Hazumu wears makes her sex change clear to Asuta in ways he's never imagined before. When Hazumu is accosted by a couple of jerks, Asuta drives them off by claiming she's his girlfriend. He is startled when Hazumu tells him that she doesn't mind him referring to her in that manner, and wonders exactly what she meant. Meanwhile, Tomari is uncomfortable being near Yasuna. In both cases, Hitoshi observes that the situations are moving towards "uncharted territory"... |

| I like this apparent return to a balanced mix of wacky comedy and drama after the predominantly dramatic last few episodes. Nevertheless, the plot moves steadily forward as Asuta finds himself attracted to Hazumu, and Tomari tells Yasuna that she, too, loves Hazumu. Take a look at the priceless image on the third row at the left, which shows the reactions of the cast members as Hitoshi shows off his less conservative swimsuit--Tomari, Hazumu and Asuta are shocked, Ayumi seems to be thinking, Yasuna seems confused, Jan-Puu sees nothing unusual, and Namiko is thrilled! I hope everything works out Okay for Namiko in the end--maybe she could return with Hitoshi to his planet...? |
