Ginga no Uo Ursa Minor Blue
This simple story focuses on a young boy and his grandfather seeking out a constellation in the form of a massive fish that is tearing havoc on the star-covered skies. This short is more a treat for animation enthusiasts as you get to see Yuri and his grandpa literally rowing a boat over the sea of stars and passing through either the world below them, other bizarre sights like a walking building and giant stone men and different constellations that manifest themselves into different living forms. For the most part, animation to the OVA is minimal and on the simple side, especially in the case of character designs. The story to Ursa Minor Blue is as simple as you can get with Yuri and his grandpa discovering the threatening constellation and obtaining the means of slaying it through a wizard, with the visuals mostly serving to tell you what type of world the short is. Beyond that, there isn't much else I can say. The short would be worthwhile for fans of animation in general, but fans expecting the typical antics of popular titles are likely to get bored with this one.
