The original Dokuro-chan series told the story of Sakura Kusakabe, a second-year junior high school student who sometime in the future was going to offend God by inadvertently inventing immortality. In addition, women would be affected so that they stop aging after the age of twelve, and Sakura is accused of creating a "Pedophile`s World". Dokuro Mitsukai, a member of an order of angel assassins called Rurutie, was sent from the future to kill him. However, she also has the power to raise the dead. Believing that Sakura can be redeemed, Dokuro always brings Sakura back to life each time after she kills him - with her gigantic spiked tetsubo (club) she`s named Excalibolg - on a moment`s impulse. Sabato, another assassin of the Rurutie order who uses her feminine wiles to do her jobs, was also dispatched to complete Dokuro`s original mission.

In this second season series, a semblance of peace has been established as Dokuro and her sister Zakuro have moved in with Sakura and are no longer trying to kill him--at least not permanently...

2 main episodes each containing 2 smaller related segments thus making four total episodes (~13 min)

Not much different from its first season with the type of humor it offers up with Dokuro-chan's unintentional misery for Sakura. Only worth watching if the first series actually got you laughing.

Having remembered the first series and how somewhat enjoyable it was, I decided to give it a shot.

Art, Animation & Character Designs
Artwork and animation was average and nothing special. Character designs were okay... and uber cute as well... if not bloody as hell.

Music
The OP was once again just too darn cute! Another high-pitched pop piece. As for the soundtrack, there were a few piano pieces and light instruments here and there.

Series and Episode Story
Okay, so I didn't think that it could be any more violent than the 1st series... but wow! This was bloody as hell x 2. Somehow, in all it's bloody glory, it manages to still be funny and purely from a slapstick point. With that said, there was lots of laughs and just strait stupid antics that'll have you chuckling lightly or laughing your guts out... no pun intended.

Overall, it's good for a few laughs. It's a good series to watch while waiting for other favorite series to come out.

Unevaluated Stretch [series:1643#628]
(Both episodes watched):

This show is insane--(I said that to myself while watching segment four). Indeed, Bokusatsu Tenshi is a very subversive sort of show that is definitely not for everyone. It walks a fine line between hilarious comedy and appaling violence, sometimes swerving to one side or the other. It also verges on a third dimension, hentai. Each episode contains two independent segments--whether there will be any long-term plot remains to be seen. That being said, I agree with Forbin, the second segment was way better than the first. The pointless violence and near complete lack of good jokes in the first left me with a queesy feeling in my stomach and a fear that this season was going to be much worse than the first. The second one, however, was a great relief, being both laugh-out-loud funny and less sadistic. Perhaps the censored version actually works better, since it leaves the viewer to interpret the bizarre sound effects without video for his- or herself. What the hell was going on as Dokuro and Zakuro were washing Sakura's back? There didn't seem to be any violence going on, but Sakura was in an odd state afterwards. Considering what they do show, one's imagination runs wild.

Part three, in which Dokuro, Sakura and the others become trapped in a magical prison cell, was good as well. Sakura takes a beating, of course, but not due to distasteful sadism so much as criminal stupidity on Dokuro's part. It's well written and kept me laughing and smiling. One problem was that the Philanthropy subtitles were very small and difficult to read--this one segment took me around half an hour to watch. Part four involves the complicated magical remedy which Sakura needs to recover from the effects of eating Dokuro's Valentine's Day chocolate. Again, funny (and like I said, insane); I think the second season is better all around than the first, being more funny than brutal. I get a grin each time I watch the re-sung version of Dokuro's theme song. How many OP songs include lines like "The Angel who splatters blood all over the place"?

I just don't know, I do NOT like Zakuro's new taller fuller look. I liked it when she was svelte. The first episode was completely random and stupid and the 2nd was better but the fan service went way up. We also lost about 1 full minute in the censoring of Sakura's bath time because of explicit scenes.
