Ok first check your brain at the door. This does not have a plot. It's 3 episodes that just show you a character who didn't appear in the Anime (Lord Potato) and how the 2 girls fell in love with Carrot.
2nd) Stretch's review was for the TV series, this one has a TON of ecchi. In a way they are more like the manga.
Ok now, in the good old Excel Saga, it's very funny. Poor Carrot is always between Chocolate (String Girl) and Tira Misu (Whip Girl). The are ALWAYS trying to get in his pants..in a way, it's a reverse Love Hina :)
BTW The picture shown is for the TV series, in the OVA (And Manga) they have a much more skimpier costume :)

Rent Stretch [series:109#628]
To make a long story short, the Sorcerer Hunter OVAs are less serious, more silly and more ecchi than the original TV series. At times the animation is as good as or better than that of the TV series, at other times surprisingly cheesy (which is kind of odd considering that OVAs are generally expected to outperform TV shows). Character designs seemed subtly different from their TV counterparts. There are a number of new characters here, including "Lord Potee" (or "Potee Chips", as he's known in the credits), Sirius (Dotta's lover), Gateau's sister, and Millefeulle--manga characters, I guess (the narrator states that in order to be familiar with Sirius, you would have had to have "read the original story"). The dub seems pretty faithful to the original script, except a handful of cultural notes which were included among the subtitles (like an explanation of a Japanese pun on the word "necromancer") are deleted. The only real "sorcerer hunting" takes place in episode two, which is kind of creepy at first with a near zombie rape scene. For the most part, however, this is cheesecake comedy. Chocolat goes topless, for all intents and purposes, when she's in fighting mode, and jiggling fanservice abounds. Gateau's propensity for showing off his awesome muscles is taken to a new extreme. I liked Dotta's Cutey Honey/Magical Girl parody. The titles of the OP and ED songs give a hint of what to expect: "Shoot! Love Hunter" and "Whip On Darling". Sorcerer Hunter fanatics would want to Buy, otherwise a Rent should be sufficient. Why are commercial break eyecatches sometimes included in OVAs? I'm not complaining, though...

My favorite line: "I'm sorry. They're always like that" --Marron

This series is great. Carrot is a perverted dork, but in a good way ^_^. His little brother Marron, who is much more mature, is a sex symbol for many girls. Too bad he is gay. Marron is in love with Milfey-Yu, a Haz Knight. Gateau Mocha is a total idiot in the OVAs, thinking his body is so great (yuck). Chocolat is the perfect anime chick! Her sister Tira comes as a close second.
In the first OVA, Carrot is running around trying to have sex with everyone except Chocolat and Tira, who are the only ones that want to have sex with him. Gateau is being a jerk to his sister. Marron has a bit part. And some little kid and his Grandpa are acting like weirdos.
In the Second OVA, we get to see lots of Milfey-Yu. He is so cool (not a Transvestite, just a feminine Homosexual Man). This OVA was great.
In the third OVA, you get to see a sensative side to Chocolate and Tira. Lots of memories. A good Pick me up if you are fealing down. It has lots of funny parts too.

Buy 7 7 7 CatWoman [series:109#65]
OK The Coyote is right (put that one down on your calendar bro.!) Carrot...he is SO funny...he is even sweet...BUT HE IS A COMPLET DORK! He spends all his time chasing girls...except of course the two girls that are crazy about him! I like Carrots little bro. The best! And the two girls they could have really given better personalities (I like the pink haired girl, especially in the monga)...but it is a good show! If not a buy at least go out and see it!
P.S. The Manga is so much better! It is very good but it is worse with the show in showing "stuff" so be worn you see "more" but the stories are a LOT better as are the characters (except Chocolate and the blond guy<--(ewww)]!

Rent 6 6 6 8 4 The Coyote [series:109#64]
ok this show has one stand out weakness and one standout strenth and they are the same thing Carrot. the dude is the funniest most irritateing character out there. His brother is cool, Although I cant stand Gato, and the two girl characteres are psyco.. I would say this is worth goin and seein but not byeing. Definate mature themes in this one as well althouh tame compared with the manga.

Visually impressive, with some really great character designs that run the gauntlet of anime types, Sorcerer Hunters is light on plot, but has the sense to not take itself seriously.
The animation is quite good, and the American dub is surprisingly decent. The theme song is really cool, and the characters are all likeable and have good chemistry.
Sorcerer Hunters is actually quite funny, too, and I thouroughly enjoyed it. I've seen most of the series, but I can't seem to find the last volume. Grrr.
If you're looking for a light anime that you can laugh at and not think too hard about, or just one in which you can ogle the purty girls, this one is recomended.
