This second title from the aspiring animator has a little more story to it than his previous work, Fumiko's Confession. While quite simple, the story's quite effective at conveying emotion shown through the girl wishing to bring the robot with her and the robot recalling the girl being similar to his previous owner. The presentation is quite effective at conveying these events with the rainy environment used to convey the negative feeling of abandonment felt by the robot which contrasts with the bright sunny flashbacks of the city when the robot was with its original owner. The town landscape is vast and full of detail with character designs being more simpler in their details. The one musical track used in this short was a dramatic piano piece effective at conveying the loneliness that could be felt throughout this short. This is definitely worth a look if you are an animation enthusiast and enjoyed seeing Ishida's earlier demonstration of his talent with Fumiko's Confession.
