This TV special for Dragon Ball Z has some plot relevance in it reveals more about Goku's origins with his father, Bardock, on Planet Vegeta and how he would eventually choose to oppose Frieza when the tyrant decides to go through with his genocidal attack on the Saiyans. The 45-minute runtime offers enough time for Bardock's character to get focused on and cause things to unravel with his loyalty to Frieza once he learns of his plans. As a bonus for DBZ fans, the TV special also offers some brief appearances from Goku, Vegeta, and Nappa while younger to show what they were doing before Planet Vegeta's destruction. Overall, a decent entry in the franchise given its plot relevance.

Okay, I absouletly love Dbz but some of the movies don't live up to the series but this one is one of the very good ones.
Okay, Okay, the pure fact that its DBZ gets it extra points, but this is a must-watch for every DBz fan out there.
The dubbed version of the movies have good rock music also.
