Lina and Naga are back and this time in a town that specializes in selling magic-run golems. But two men are fighting for control of the town, the ugly Lord Granion and the ugly Lord Hizen (and yes, the term "Lord" is used in the Japanese).

After rescuing Laiya-chan (also written as "Rya-chan" at times), the master golem maker Garia Einberg's daughter, Lina and Naga also find themselves in the midst of a family feud. Garia doesn't much care for the golems his son Huey makes and Laiya weeps over what to do. Huey and Naga join forces for Lord Granion and Lina and Garia join forces for Lord Hizen.

Now the battle begins for this sleepy town between Granion and Hizen, with sub-battles between father and son, and Lina and Naga. Who will win? And will Lina get over the look of her golem, named Pico-Pico Lina-chan? (literally Super-Tiny Lina-chan)

Episode and Series Story
This movie actually was more enjoyable to watch then the previous movie and OVAs. Although the story isn't anything to be excited about, nor is it anything complex, there was still some "fun" moments. Take for example the "battle" between Lina and the busty Naga. Here, they actually get into a battle..... since afterall, they're "suppose" to be enemies. All the previous installments with them paired up, they never really "seriously" fought each other. Aside from that, there's no real story.

Overall, it's a fun watch, nothing more.

This latest Slayers movie isn't very inspired, but it does have some decent points. While Lina and Naga have conflicted before, they've never actually battled it out. This movie basically allows them to fight each other without having some evil villian to fight. So in that regard, I sort of enjoyed this.

Other than the showdown between Lina and Naga, there's really not much to this one. There's nothing really funny in this movie, though I did smile when the SD Pico-Pico Lina-chan emerged from the water. There were some other smile moments as well. But to be honest, I was kind of glad when this was finally over. Without a gripping story, there's only so much a conflict between Lina and Naga can support. I always enjoy hearing Hayashibara Megumi at work, but it wasn't enough. And Inoue Kikuko's role as Laiya was pretty much a waste.

Bottom line: I'm afraid that beyond the hardcore Slayers fans, this movie won't have much of an audience.
