(One episode watched): This is definitely an unusual show, to say the least. Despite the heinous crimes he once committed, Hirofumi seems a pretty calm and reasonable man nowadays, which makes him fairly likeable. He has made a friend in prison guard Shimoda Tadeshi. I was confused about whether he was suffering from some sort of amnesia about all the previous close calls he had experienced; they sort of seemed like news to him when the professor listed them (it was at about this point that a LOL joke occured). The style of animation was unusual as well, and almost seemed like something you'd see made in America. It looks like Hirofumi will wind up with either a new girlfriend or a female researcher who he spends a lot of time with, which would be tricky considering he killed his previous fiancee. I wonder where this will go, and whether it will remain 'fresh' and develop an interesting plot. In episode two Hirofumi relates to the Professor one of his many close calls before he committed murder--namely, how he once nearly died of thirst in a lifeboat. We definitely learn a few things, like what 'penis fish' are. I'm guessing each episode will be another weird story like this. It was amusing, but what I'd really like is to know how this seemingly nice guy could have brutally killed two people or how he has such inexplicable bad luck.
