Hello World
So basically another romantic drama with some sort of sci-fi gimmick mixed in to attempt livening things up? The romance angle falls flat due to the main couple largely being pretty two-dimensional for personality and the film doesn't do a good job of fleshing out enough with its sci-fi elements, especially in its second half when more of this element comes to light and it gets hard to follow what exactly is going up with the enemy threat in question. This is yet another 3D animated film, which displays the typical ups and downs of the animation style when implemented for anime (looks nice in distant shots, yet can look a bit plastic-like in close-up shots). In short, Hello World feels pretty generic as far as a sci-fi anime goes and offers little memorable that would offer rewatchability.
