I used the ANN synopsis above because I frankly didn't know what to make of this show after watching episode one. A listless, fairly annoying guy, who carries a guitar around but hasn't a clue how to play it--what's the deal with that? The thought occurred to me that this might have a touch of boy's love to it, especially after Ritsuka saves Mafuyu from getting hit by a car and they have a little physical encounter. Sure enough, the ANN page devoted to this show categorized it as a BL anime. That made some sense since it wasn't exactly shaping up to have a memorable music theme. The jokes were definitely not LOL funny and Mafuyu annoys me, and the only way a BL series would be worth watching to me would be if the main characters were highly intriguing and sympathetic, which the ones here are not. So, I decided to pass on this show.
