This is another one of those "food porn" comedy anime involving our titular lead's single-minded love for eating ramen and even offering some trivia regarding ingredients or history of the particular type of ramen she is dabbling into. A few of her classmates also often accompany her to her meals at different ramen restaurants to dabble into whatever type of ramen she eats, Yu in particular developing an obsessive interest in Koizumi and wanting to get close to her. Episodes of the series are divided up into two or three segments involving Koizumi and other characters dabbling into different types of ramen meals. Like other titles of its ilk, whether or not you get interest in this will likely come down to what interest you have in wanting to dabble into ramen and the episode segment format focusing on its characters. For me personally, iffy on if I would want to rewatch this again considering it doesn't have much else to offer beyond its gimmick with Koizumi's love for ramen.

Unevaluated Stretch [series:3466#628]
(One episode watched):

As I started watching episode one, the thought occurred to me that whether it was good or not would probably depend on whether the show had any semblance of an interesting plot or if the she's-a-ramen-fanatic gag would be all there was to it. That's because few comedy anime actually have jokes that are funny enough to be worth watching just for the laughs you will get. The show turned out to be composed of several short skits about the interplay between the two main characters, Koizumi and the dark blue-haired girl who thinks she's cute and wants to be her friend. The jokes were pretty weak; I think only once did I come anywhere near a laugh-out-loud. The show is very educational if you are curious about the various types of ramen; it fits neatly into the recent genre of anime about food and cooking. But the jokes were inadequate for me and I didn't sense any serious plot coming together; it seemed to be about as sophisticated as the cartoons in the newspaper.
