Wake Up, Girls! Shin Shou

While I found the original WUG series to be fun and above average as idol series go, this one hasn't excited me all that much. It seems to be getting off to a slow start, and I haven't noticed any good jokes or intriguing twists to the plot. What, again, is the ultimate goal of these girls? And what, again, are their names and backgrounds? It has been three years since the last installment, after all. Is this one being handled by a different crew? It almost feels like a completely different show. I decided not to watch this second season.
