Mousou Kagaku Series Wandaba Style

This is more or less a mindless comedy romp mixed with fan service compliments of the members of Mix Juice and female android Kiku 8, with Wandaba Style focusing on the idol group attempting to get famous and Kiku's creator Tsukumo attempting to launch a rocket to the moon. The characters don't have much dimension to them beyond whatever typical character types get repeatedly hammered out by anime and the comedy often gets on the obnoxious side with the Mix Juice members often arguing with one another and their manager Michael making plans behind their back and manipulating them to have things go his way. The plot structure is also a bit repetitive in its setup for Wandaba Style's first half where Tsukumo plans a rocket project, the members of Mix Juice get in some sort of argument, Michael attempts to manipulate things, one of the two mentioned issues leads to a mishap to wreck Tsukumo's rocket, and things repeat for several more episodes. The series attempts to mix things up in the show's second half with the introduction of Tsukumo's parents, but the series lacks the necessary depth to make this feel anything more than a mindless otaku-pandering romp. Don't waste your time trying to track this down or watch it as the comedy for it is too obnoxious to have any kind of appeal.
