Kyo Nukui is a shut-in amateur composer who seldom appears in school and instead plays the electric guitar and synthesizes music which he posts on the internet. One day, he gets an e-mail from an admirer who would like to meet him, and he reluctantly agrees. Well, this show seems to fall into the same trap as countless situation comedy anime have before: it isn't terribly funny, and the story isn't all that plausible or interesting either. Early on, I was modestly intrigued by the character of Kyo, a socially handicapped but not bad guy, and wondered what would become of him. But the message I got from the second half was that he would likely be little more than the butt of lame jokes told by the three girls, each of which has a simplistic two-dimensional personality (shy, aggressive or sleepy). And how three orphans got their hands on a secret room filled with vintage musical instruments that would be worth a fortune, and have become skilled musicians themselves, is something of a stretch. I did get a couple of solid laughs from the moment when Kyo first meets the girls, but not really enough to be worth spending 23 minutes of my precious time. I don't see any sign of an intriguing plot coming together; nothing about a realistic and believable pathway out of poverty for any of these characters, or Kyo becoming socially healthy. It looks like the gag of a rock group composed of ten year olds is supposed to carry this show to the end, but it wasn't all that funny even the first time.
