Minori is a sickly, poor girl who is continually bullied by the middle class students at her school. The closest thing she has to friends are Kyoko and Takashi, who pity her but haven't got the courage to stand up to the crowd. After Minori goes missing from school for two months, they receive a mysterious e-mail from an anonymous source.

(Two episodes watched):

I was surprised when episode one of this show ended after just nine minutes, and the part about Minori going missing and the mysterious e-mail had yet to happen at that point. This show takes on a serious subject, and it isn't often that emotions like guilt and pity appear in anime about everyday life. I could feel sorry for Minori and wish that the unjust persecution she suffers be put to an end, so I was willing to continue watching. Of course it was always possible that the show has no intention of addressing that problem and would instead take off on some other direction, but for now I was on board. In episode two there was still no sign of Minori going missing, etc, and I felt distinctly bored. I had forgotten virtually everything about the show in the two weeks since I had first watched it, but was relieved when it once again turned out to be only eight minutes long, because I was getting so little entertainment that I was tempted to quit. Actually, I decided I would abandon this show. Episode two gave the impression that there would be no engaging plot, instead each week Minori would be wronged by her cruel classmates and her two friends will cheer her up, which didn't exactly sound uplifting. Perhaps the basic premise--a girl being bullied--inspired sympathy for an underdog, but the episodes weren't showing any signs that this basic problem would ever be solved. If a show can't engage me after two episodes, chances are that it never will.
