(One episode watched):

It's odd that the fact that this is an ANIMATION seems to be considered more important than the Tsukiuta part (judging from the use of capital letters). When I started watching, and saw the standard sexy guys in a fancy idol act, my hopes plunged and I figured what lay ahead would be a predictable and shallow tale which would rely on song and dance and eye candy rather than any particularly clever or original story. My hopes were restored a little when it became clear that the episode wasn't about just the idols, but there was also a subplot regarding a girl who is a fervent fan of Kakeru, a Six Gravity member. She had hoped to meet him at a publicity event, but has gotten sick, so she sends her little brother in her place to scoop up whatever fan merchandise he can. That sounded like a clever and unusual take, tailor-made for humor; but ultimately it wasn't very remarkable. The coincidences that were involved were hard to believe, and the jokes were modest at best. And apparently a good deal of time will indeed be spent on performances which don't appeal to me. Also, it seems that this story is over and each of the remaining eleven performers will get his own silly adventure in the remaining episodes. That premise is actually a little bit unique, but having seen how little episode one did with it's potential, I think I will decline to watch.
