Each two or three minute episode begins with afro-haired Asakura asking short-haired Ishida a question. What with the way the question and response are phrased, I bet some sort of parody of anime/media stereotypes of uniformed schoolboys is going on here; I just don't know what it is. There may be a little restrained homosexuality going on as well. It almost feels as if we are supposed to already be familiar with the characters, because little effort is made to introduce them here. The violence in episode one almost disturbed me, but it's nonsensical violence that could never really happen. Crazy things happen, which are modestly amusing but don't remain in my memory for long. This would probably get tiresome in a hurry if this were a 23-minute show, but since it is just two minutes long you haven't invested much time or trouble and therefore feel satisfied with the modest return you get. There seems to be no longterm plot whatsoever underway here.

I guess the problem is that both Ishida and Asakura are basically pretty obnoxious. The only thing Asakura cares about are big boobs, while Ishida is easily angered and violent. There's no hint of any sort of likeable personality within either of them. With these guys as much of a turn-off as they are, I hoped that a host of potentially interesting supporting characters (from the OP sequence) would amount to something, but so far they haven't. You basically see each of them in one tiny episode and that's it. This is probably my least favorite of the five short anime series that I am watching this season. I must admit that something very weird and very wrong happens at the end of episode 11 which caught me flat-footed and left me laugh-out-louding. That, unfortunately, was the exception rather than the rule. The series ends with another bizarre but not so funny incident. Weird but usually not terribly funny stuff happens and then it's over, plain and simple. I can't really imagine any reason why I might ever want to rewatch this show, even though it would only take an hour or so.
