Yet another crutch of an OAV adaptation of an ongoing manga series made in the 1990s, Eight Clouds Rising clearly has a bigger plot it wishes to expand upon concerning the seven swords our two male leads are seeking out yet this OAV only tells one part of the story. The title's fast pacing limits any time for depth into the plot and characters thus limiting any connection the audience could have for it. The show's visuals are solid as the subdued color shading, vast scenery and detailed character designs are decent on the eyes. Beyond this, not really much else I can comment on. Might be better off tracking down the manga adaptation of this series if the premise for it catches your interest as this won't make for the best start for it.
