If you liked this: Pretty much all the reviews here are spot on.

If the dub was better I would've marked this a rent. The dub is so flat that I was thinking just how much better it would've been if it had a better dub.

And too bad it does end on episode 2 with a cliffhanger. This had so much potential.

Watch 6 7 8 3 Midnighter [series:248#94]
Well it's definately nice to look at, Ninja Cadets is most certainly not brain-food.
The Character designs are the high-point here, a nice blend of cute and sexy. The story is sadly mal-nourished, though. It started out fairly interestingly, with the warring clans and the rescue of an infant princess, but from never seems to go anywhere from there. I have to agree with the Coyote in that it just abruptly ends, like the makers just gave up or quit or something. Nothing, and I mean nothing is explained. Just why were the 2 clans at war? What was the significance of the infant princess that a massive seige was used just to assassinate her? What was the point of the scroll-quest? And who, if any of the characters was the princess? One last question for me was: who cares? I didn't really care for any of the characters, since they were all card-board cutouts and stereotypes to begin with, and the English dub was quite irritating. The lead ninja girl (whatever her name was, the redhead) sounded twelve.
While I certainly am not prudish about violence, the amount in this was a tad excessive, given the stupidity of most of it. Call me insane, but I like a story with my violence. And really, how much blood can fit in an eye, even a giant spider eye?
So, yes watch this for the nice character designs, but don't expect too much else. What little story there is to begin with is soon abandoned for bad jokes and ninja fightin'. So if you're into ninjas (and hey, who isn't) or um...giant goofy looking spiders,or if you just want some light anime, go ahead and check Ninja Cadets out. Because let's face the facts: Ninjas rock.

Avoid 8 8 8 CatWoman [series:248#65]
This is a good begining to a series...note I siad BEGINING! It leaves you with more questions then answers, and they have great Charaters that they could do so much more with! BUT THEY DON'T! I hate it when they do that! It's like watching slayers up to the ponit that Lina uses the dragon Slave for the first time...THAT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO FINISHED! Avoid it! inless you don't mind being left hanging!
