A global pandemic of a blood-borne, highly infectious disease known as hemoglophagia has forever changed the world. Those that manage to survive the initial infection live on with inhuman abilities knowing that the disease will continue to ravage their body and eventually kill them. Seizing on the fear wrought by the uncontrolled spread of the disease, a militant medical group known as the Arch-Ministry takes control of the government and begins the systematic extermination of those that are infected.
A young infected woman named Violet joins the resistance movement to fight the militaristic machinations of the government, and succeeds in infiltrating one of their secret labs and capturing a little boy – one of eight clones bred to be a ultimate weapon against hemoglopha scourge.
Believing that the boy might hold a cure to her disease, Violet finds herself having to protect the child from not only her fellow rebels who want to destroy the government’s weapon, but also from agents of the government who do not want their secrets revealed.
This movie is an animated adaptation of the 2006 futuristic dystopian film Ultraviolet (wiki), which in turn is loosely based on the 1980 cult classic film Gloria (wiki) in which a gangster's girlfriend goes on the run with a young boy who is being hunted by the mob for information he may or may not have.
