Fujiwara Naeka is a typical 17 year-old high school student. Or so we thought. She`s really one of two surviving heirs of a tycoon who has the right to inherit his mass fortune when she turns 18 in half a year. Fubuki, a young and beautiful maid, and Kogarashi, a big burly maid guy with a mask, have been assigned to keep Naeka and her brother Kousuke safe from those who would plot their demise and steal the fortune that they would inherit.

Based on the shounen manga by Akai Maruborou, serialised in Dragon Age.

Sort of like Full Metal Panic ~Fumoffu~ meets Hayate no Gotoku!. Butlers are often expected to double as bodyguards apparently, so why not maids, too? And why not give this role priority and assign an incredible muscle man to it? Unfortunately, like Souseke this guy is rather naive about everyday life for a teenage girl. At least that's the impression I got from episode one; it took me awhile to "get" this premise. I had high hopes for this show, which seemed one of the likely stars of the season, and for the most part am pleased with the results. It does seem kind of rough around the edges, though; the plot bounces back and forth and I often don't know whether to be amused or confused. Episode two seemed to be an improvement as all of the jokes contributed to the episodic plot and as a result it made a good deal more sense. This series as a whole is a lot of fun although the episodes are a blurr in my memory before long. There doesn't seem to be much of a longterm plot other than the countdown to Naeka reaching inheritance age.

Kamen no Maid Guy seems to be considered a massive disappointment by many critics. However, while it wasn't everything I'd been expecting, I still find it a credibly amusing show which I look forward to new episodes of. Jougarashi himself is by far the most fun character, as he should be; I wish more emphasis was placed on him than the others. Now, if only the comedy were a little less borderline ecchi; I think it has just a slight touch of sleaziness to it which taints the overall taste. Go see how ecchi should be handled in Zettai Karen Children (I'm insane).

Episode 2 was pretty funny. 1 + 1 = 3 or Breast Size + Math Skills = 100. HAHAHAHA

So far this is a great little series. It doesn't try to make itself any more than it is, a dude who likes to wear a skirt and has tons of super powers!

This series is subbed very slowly, but is absolutely funny! And in Episode 10 it wasn't the Maid Guy's fault but he still gets pummeled.
