In the last battle Eclair and Lumiere have sacrificed their lives to stop a planet from going Nova. The story continues with a new ES squad led by Mercredi featuring 2 new TRAINEE members Ascoeur and Mina Q-Feuille. Ascoeur is the impulsive one and can teleport and wields a hairbush / sword / needler and Q-Feuille is the calm one and fights with Chocolate eggs that have various powers (like smoke). Commander Hiver (Mercredi) is in charge of the new GTO (Galactic Trade Organization) as the old GOTT was defeated at the end of KG1.
