After 14 minutes of ridiculously stupid slap-stick comedy that I’m not even going to address (yes, nothing serious happens for 14 minutes – you can check for yourself if you don’t believe me though I could never bring myself to skip all of it as Satsuki does show her affection for the main lead which is always nice to see), the episode begins with the room they were preparing being destroyed and everyone bailing out leaving the main lead and Toujou alone to do the rest. Not even a second later some girls come to take her away leaving him to do it alone. He suffers the night away as he works alone and to his surprise – Toujou was the first to come running back to him. As they prepare to start working they get caught in a very “misleading” situation and can’t move. Being that close to the gorgeous Toujou and not do anything takes everything the main lead has (I don’t think anyone would blame him if he cracked and gave in to his emotions). I think its destiny for those two to be together as the universe won’t let them be apart. I had to see this whole scene twice to make up for the 14 minutes of garbage at the start of the episode. After that unbelievably close encounter with Toujou, everyone (regretfully) shows up and ruins the moment and the episode ends with a nice finisher that made me laugh unlike the 14 minutes of crap that had no effect on me whatsoever. Only manga readers will know who that new girl is and another one will appear in the later OVAs episodes. Don't worry as they won't affect the normal rotation of girls. They only add to the bliss that is the harem genre. LOL

I can't give it the buy rating because of the 14 minutes of crap.

Never forget Xenosaga.

Watch Stretch [series:1127#628]
This second OVA seemed like a dumbed-down version which was not up to the same standard as the TV series or Jump Festa. I think it relied too much on slapstick, i.e., the usual cute girl trips and falls on top of Manaka (or vice-versa). You could say this was taken to a new extreme when Manaka and Toujou get trapped under the collapsed festival decorations, but the chances of such a thing ever really happening are nil, and I couldn't really take it seriously. It's as if the characters have taken a class in clumsiness! When will you get it into your head, Manaka, that Toujou is clearly the girl for you?!

This OVA disappointed. As I have read the manga and Chinami is a major character (That gets a total of 3 minutes in the OVA) I was not so happy. She also doesn't look as good as the Manga. It changed the whole scheme of things, and took the Toujou panty scene from Movie 1 and completely removed Movie 2, this OVA was just to show off that there is another OVA, honestly it is completely a waste of time, go watch OVA 1, that was much better. Except for Chinami's appearance there is 0 plot development.

[Score: 65%]

Extremely silly and chaotic, compared to Ichigo 100% OVA 1. The first half is all ruckus (including a completely new girl appearing and kissing Junpei within the first minute), the second half is all about Junpei and his girl getting into ever more ecchi situations. Basically no storyline, but lots of panties - and more...

This is one of the animes you can watch in the raw version and still get the story; you'll miss about half a dozen interesting dialogue lines, but no more. Which should be quite telling.

Having read the manga now (where Chiaki's appearance and the school festival are chapters 82-84) I cannot agree with Forbin that Chinami actually were a "major character", her appearance in this OVA isn't that different from what she contributes to the manga IMHO.
