Because I had watched the series, I picked this one up just to see what else it would offer.

Art, Animation & Character Designs
The artwork and animation seemed to have improved by a tiny fraction.... or either that, I actually picked up a better quality copy... unlike the first series.

Music
The OP was the same as the original series. See my review here to get an idea.

Series and Episode Story
It was pretty much the same stuff as the first series more or less. There was some laughable moments.... which weren't that funny. There was plenty of silly antics and of course, your usual ecchi dose.

Overall, it was okay but spend your time elsewhere.

Unevaluated Stretch [series:1040#628]
(One episode watched):

The problem with episode one of this show seems to be that it is not particularly funny. Some of the jokes are distinctly lame while others are so-so; there were no big laughs in episode one. I would say there were more of the poor jokes than the OK ones. Character designs have slight differences from the original series, which are immediately obvious anyhow--just goes to show how important it is to keep the designs uniform. There are some new characters as well, which would be familiar to people who had played the H-game that Comic Party originated as, but appear out of nowhere for people who have only seen the original TV series. Whereas that series had almost completely purged itself of romance, I get the feeling that this one might bring it back. I kind of liked episode two, however. Eimi was taking advice from a big fat ugly fish which likes to smoke cigars--I have no idea what the meaning of it was, but it was funny anyhow. I guess the secret is that this is more a sequel of the video game than of the TV series. Characters personalities seem distinctly different, for one thing.
