Synopsis
Nenene Sumiregawa is a famous writer who has come to Hong Kong on a book tour. She is picked up at the airport by the sisters Michelle and Maggie, two enthusiastic fans of hers. She admits to them that she hasn't completed a book in four years, and considers herself a "forgotten author" at home in Japan. They drive her to her hotel, arriving late--which is fortunate, since a bomb explodes in her suite just before they get there. A note from a jealous rival declares his intention to kill her. Nenene, however, refuses to cancel her appearance and admit defeat. The girls invite her to spend the night at their place, where she meets the third sister, Anita--who despises books. Despite stepped-up security, a second attempt on Nenene's life is made at her public appearance, forcing the sisters to employ some special talents of theirs...

Clearly, this is going to be one cool series! I noticed neat dialogue, three-dimensional characters, and special effects on par with the OVA series. Nenene mentions how the disappearance of a close friend (guess who!) was partly responsible for her loss of interest in writing. It seems the plot of the jealous rival has been dealt with--where will the series go from here?
