Boys Be - 7: Summer: The End of Summer - WIND-BELL

Title:Boys Be
Episode:7: Summer: The End of Summer - WIND-BELL
Synopsis
During her summer training camp Chiharu loses her way in the forest. Right when a giant beetle settles down on her back, a young man collecting beetles frees her from the unwanted guest and shows her the way back to her camp. But Chiharu can't stand the pushy behaviour of this show-off cabriolet driver [image1], introducing himself as Okasagi Yuki.
Aki and Yumi visit Chiharu at the camp, telling her how comfortable their holidays at the sea together with Makoto and Kyoichi had been. Which brings back uncomfortable memories for Chiharu about her argument with Kyoichi... and during her next training race she loses concentration, stumbles - and falls [image2]. Which means that Chiharu has to pause her training for a number of days, and her chances of participating in the trials might well be gone.
Chiharu almost decided to visit Kyoichi at the Marine House when the beetle collector passes by the camp building. Although Chiharu still doesn't like his flirty style she accepts being asked out by him, as she has a lot of time to kill now. Slowly but steadily Okasagi learns more about this girl, and at the dead of night he takes her to his "secret scenic spot"... [image3]
On the next day Chiharu refuses to join Aki and Yumi, wandering through the forest alone instead. And in fact she meets Okasagi-san fishing at a creek, and they enjoy slacking off. But then his cell phone rings... later Chiharu pretends not to have heard who he was talking to [image4].
In the evening Chiharu rings up Kyouichi but he can't hear her words because of the summer fireworks around. So she dials [image5] another number then... [image6]

[2005-04-16, Devil Doll]:
That's what I like about this series: No dragons, no mecha - nothing but emotions. The scene where the drawing flies away into the night... that's a great type of foreshadowing.
Now that the story returned to the lead characters, events are coming thick and fast. This episode in the middle of the series is the turning point of the whole story. No comedy at all this time - nothing but drama. Love Hina episodes 22 & 23, sort of.
