Stretch:
Apparently this was part of the Hawk's new strategy of picking off AMP members one by one rather than taking on the team as a whole; they're 0 for 2 so far. I'm a little confused by the plan to frame Kiddy. Can the K-coil control human bodies, or just mechanical/cyborg ones? If the latter is true, then was the "corpse" that attacked Kiddy (and was "killed" by her) a Megadyne as well? Was that why the chief villian broke into the forensics lab to destroy it's body--so that the fact that it wasn't an ordinary person wouldn't be discovered? The storytelling of this episode was a bit herky-jerky, i.e, could have been timed and explained better, but was fun nevertheless. For example, Kiddy being ordered to be shot on sight one minute, then free to go the next. This seems to be a minor problem throughout the series.

Devil Doll:
Episode 17: (Destiny / 結びあう夕べ = Musubiau Yuube = The Evening of the Final Encounter)
The manga (chapter 6 - we're jumping around quite a bit in the manga order) says: "Lebia: It's called a K-Worm. Nanomachines are found in the extremities and they are used as parasites for other Megadyne. These parasites control other machines. If this worm is used, countless other Megadyne can also be controlled. This worm is identical to a computer virus and it works in the same ways as one, so I've been told. Therefore, Kiddy probably has this K-Worm in her body. It's possible that the time Kiddy was attacked by that lady, she was already dead, but the cyber coated portions of her body were still operating. Most importantly, we need the victim's body to prove this..." (which, unfortunately, has been destroyed already by the intruder.)

The order to shoot Kiddy on sight was of course meant to increase the suspense element of this show - but right when this danger was over, the next and even more deadly threat came up in the "person" of that S-203RS Type "Spider" Megadyne as her opponent in the final battle. Kiddy's feature episodes are meant to be high on action - she's the "lone rider", exactly what she accused Katsumi to be in episode 4. And this won't be her last solo stunt in this show...
