| With one girl missing at the dinner table the mood is rather gloomy. So Yuuichi decides to walk into the night and look after her [image1].
This time Shiori's daily visit [image2] brings up something really substantial at last. But this and Kaori's reaction just raise more questions. Being invited for lunch by Sayuri [image3], Yuuichi recognizes how unsociable Mai is, and wonders how he could improve her popularity index. When Ayu makes another visit at the Minase house [image4], the cold weather takes its toll amongst animals [image5] and humans [image6]. | |

This time we have all sub-stories rolling in parallel, so there is only little progress in each of these - yet, there is. While being far from flawless, Yuuichi has a good sense about when to apologize and correct his own mistakes, even if this means to walk through the cold night and carry a bag of problems. As always, Nayuki's role has interesting lines. This time it's "If I left home would you go out and find me too?" But her cousin's reply doesn't really make her happy. Again, Ayu appears when least expected. She seems to be linked to Akiko, as we can see at the end of this episode. And when I rewatched this series I came up with a new theory about that phone call. When Piro seems to have a cold it is amazing how Yuuichi selectively remembers how to treat that but not which kind of pet he had back then. Then again, it would have been too early for that... Yuuichi's line of the day: "You pass to be my wife!" - - - - - - - - - - | |
