| As the Swordbreaker closes on Nightmare headquarters, Rail steals a shuttle and races to intercept. Kain, Canal and Millie blast their way through literally thousands of enemy ships so that Kain can board the Dark Star and face his personal nemesis, Dark Seeder--but that may be the last thing he should be doing... SPOILER: A lot of things which may or may not be important to the overall plot are revealed in this episode, and if I understood them correctly they went something like this: 1. Dark Star is not a Lost Ship, but rather "a dreadful battle machine that evolves every time it awakes" (which is what it's doing). The Gore Nova has combined with it. 2. Dark Seeder is a clone of the leader of Nightmare, who he just betrayed and killed (or worse). 3. Millie's full name is Millenium Farrier Stargazer--and Canal says she's related to the leader of Nightmare. 4. Rail declares that Kain must not duel Dark Seeder because the clash of their psi-energies is just what is needed to activate the Dark Star. | |

| Stargazer, Dark Star, Dark Seeder and Gore Nova--we are at the end of the next-to-last episode and I still have only a vague understanding of exactly who is who and what is what. Maybe I'm an idiot, or maybe this story could have been explained somewhat better. My guesses are: Stargazer: The family name of the leader of Nightmare, who just bought it. Dark Star: An awesome, malevolent weapon which is on the verge of coming out of hibernation and laying waste to the galaxy. Dark Seeder: The blond haired, sword wielding chief villain. Gore Nova: Nightmare's last remaining Lost Ship, which has now merged with Dark Star. | |
