| At night Kyou is frightened by the weird sound of a voice - is that the spirit of a dead girl? Asu-chan bravely supporting and encouraging her older sister enables Kyou to go back to sleep.
At school Asu is once again helping her classmates, getting praised for being good in everything. But actually Asu has a problem: She can't sing, the music test at school is only a couple of days away, and all her friends at school expect her to sing as well as she's performing in all other classes. At home she begins to practice her song for the test but soon becomes frustrated... and suddenly she hears a wonderful voice from outside continue her song! It turns out the sisters have a new neighbor by the name of Ichinokura Masao who wants to be a singer but hasn't debuted yet and is currently low on money. Asu observes several girls visiting this guy and bringing him food presents, so at least he won't starve... and she learns that Masao is singing at night, so that resolves the issue of the "ghost voice" as well. And to Asu's surprise Masao tells her that he considers her singing good... This evening Asu and Kyou are listening to Masao's songs, and they notice that this young man's favourite guitar wears a necklace with a green stone. The next day Asu happens to run into Masao who just leaves a music shop - and the guitar with the necklace is standing in the showcase! Masao looks depressed, but Asu works up the courage to ask him to teach her singing for her test at school. Asu has brough along a broken harmonica, some of whose keys don't make a sound any more; when Masao suggests Asu should ask her parents to buy her a new one he finally learns about the situation of the sisters. And as Asu asks him to sing for her he hesitatingly promises her not to quit singing. Now begins an intensive one-week training session for both sisters, with muscle training as well as singing lessons. Finally, the day of the test has arrived - and Asu aces it, as expected from her friends. But when she returns home and want to tell Masao about her success, his room is dark.. | |

One more episode with the same message: The sisters are so charming that everyone will be willing to help them, and they're able to understand other people well enough to help them too. Even though the pattern is clear the final quarter of each episode remains interesting enough not to cover its content in my synopsis. | |
