Kururu, Chiriri, Hororo, & Sarara are known as Bottle Fairies as each has a bottle representing their color (which the fairies also show in their eyes). Kururu is blue (image, top left), Chiriri is yellow (image, bottom right), Hororo is green (image, bottom left), and Sarara is red (image, top right). They live in a nice, western-styled cottage with a man they call Sensei-san. Next door lives Tama-chan, a young grade school girl. The four fairies pass the time learning about the human world from the safety of Sensei-san's house as they attempt to become human.

Edward and Alphonse Elric are brothers who were born with an extraordinary gift for the magical science known as alchemy. Their father, also very gifted in the craft of alchemy, disappeared leaving their ordinary mother to raise them in the country. But when their mother passed away, the boys vowed to learn the arts of alchemy to the fullest. The goal -- to bring their mother back to life, one of two things Alchemist are forbidden from doing. They attempt to bring back their mother with devistating consequences. Edward loses an arm and a leg and Alphonse loses his body, his soul sealed into a suit of armor by Edward at the last moment. For all of this, the thing they created wasn't even human and didn't live long.

In a short three episodes, the Happy Lesson TV series comes to a close. Fumitsuki-san, the class president openly proclaims her affection for Chitose-kun, which both surprises him and starts him thinking. Chitose comes to understand that he is in love, but with whom? Meanwhile, Mutsuki-mama must deal with the proposed destruction of her old high school and the memories of a love she had there.

A 15-year-old Hitotose Chitose moves out of the orphanage back to his vacant parent's house and finds himself very alone and unhappy. But when five of his female high school teachers decide to move in with him to become his new mamas, he learns that the chaos of their constant attention and concern change his life for the better, if only to teach him about the very special meaning of being part of a family and enjoying a quiet moment.
