But Arte would rather pursue her calling as a painter, and leaves home to seek an apprenticeship with one of the city's many ateliers. But she finds that female professional painters are unknown and the concept is fiercely resisted. Fortunately, she finds the gruff painter Leo, who eventually accepts her as an apprentice because her spirit reminds him of himself when he was young.

Along with her only genuine fan, Saki Kodaka, and a friend of Saki's, Sumika Maehara, Hiyori forms an Extreme Hearts team named RISE--because they have nowhere to go but up.

Mato Seihei no Slave	Unevaluated	The Mato is an alternate dimension which is accessible via gateways, known as 'Doors', which have sprung up throughout Japan. Anyone who finds themself within it is at risk of being attacked by terrifying monsters known as Shuuki. They should hide and hope to be rescued by the Demon Defense Force, which is composed of human girls who have gained fantastic powers 'from the peaches that grow exclusively in Mato'(?). Yuuki Wakura, an ordinary boy whose only talents are his housekeeping skills, finds himself within the Mato and under attack by numerous Shuuki. Kyouka Uzen, leader of the 7th Squadron of the DDF, comes to his rescue. Kyouka's 'lousy' power is the ability to convert other people into 'slaves', which are fearsome fighting monsters. In this desperate situation she does just this to Yuuki, and is both surprised and pleased with the result. Kyouka decides that Yuuki may become an unofficial member of the DDF and while not in action shall serve as the caretaker of the protected 'dorm' that the DDF girls live in within the Mato.

Tonikaku Kawaii: Fly Me to the Moon	Unevaluated	'Nasa' (he was named after the American space agency) happens upon a beautiful girl, Tsukasa, walking on the other side of the street and decides to take a chance. However, his gamble goes wrong when he steps in front of a truck and is critically injured. Barely conscious, he asks Tsukasa (who was also injured trying to save him) to go out with him. But she has another idea: they should get married. When Nasa revives from a coma months later, he figures that he'll never see her again. But Tsukasa turns up, ready to carry through on her proposal.
