Based on a doujinshi written by Takashi Okazaki in the late 90's, Afro Samurai is a creative collaboration between Samuel L. Jackson, Takashi Okazaki and the Japanese animation company Gonzo, a division of GDH, with the intentions of creating an anime series for US and Japanese markets. Scheduled to premiere on Spike TV (a US cable station). With the Academy Award-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson already signed on to co-produce and to do the lead character's voice, this is a first in a potentially interesting trend. |

Alien Nine |
Watch | For the new year in elementary school #9 the responsibilities are assigned, like class representatives, homeroom duties, feeding the class animals - and membership in the anti alien squad who put an alien symbiont on their head like a hat and then catch those aliens that are occasionally landing on earth before they can do any damage. Energetic Toomine Kasumi and serious Kawamura Kumi volunteered for this task while timid Ootani Yuri was elected for this squad by her class, much against her will. And facing these monsters, defending her classmates and even feeding the symbiont with her body (who gives her protection in return) takes a heavy toll on this girl. |
Violent: (Objectionable Content) Titles that include as an important part of their content excessive displays of cruelty, blood and gore. Any of the classical 'slasher' films would qualify for this keyword. The series Black Lagoon would be a good example; as many of its chapters involve killer lolis, chainsaw mercenaries and flying body parts.
