Harem: (Story/Location) This is a sub-genre of the "Romantic Comedy" genre. To qualify you have to have a single, dateless, nice guy who suddenly finds himself surrounded by a bunch of hot girls/women who are interested or attracted to him to varying degrees. The male lead may also live with many of these girls.
Yuri: (Objectionable Content) (↗yuri (百合) = "lily", indicating "female homosexual love") These are titles that show intense emotional connection, romantic love or physical desire between women. Yuri is not a genre confined by the gender or age of the audience, but by the perception of the audience. Hazumu Osaragi is a boy with problems. First he confesses his love to Yasuna Kamilzumi. She turns him down. He slips on a path and falls down a mountain. Climbing back up the mountain almost gives him a heart attack. At the top he sees a falling star and makes a wish. The falling star turns out to be an out of control spaceship and hits him right in the mouth (like a kiss). He's dead. The alien on board is so horrified that he clones Hazumu and brings him back to life. Except the Alien forgot something. Umm...lets just say Hazumu now has breasts and is missing her manhood. | |

Two sisters decide to run away from home with hopes of finding a job that would permit them to live on their own. After a series of rejections, the younger sister Mitsuki finds a posting outside of mansion for a live-in maid, and both she and Sawatari enter the large, spacious but very empty grounds of the house. There they find a boy of their age, Yoshitaka Nakayashi, a 14-year-old who has inherited millions due to the accidental death of his parents. Nakayashi fired all of the staff for treating him like a kid and not listening to him, but he finds himself unable to live alone and is now looking for a couple of live-in maids. While the two Izumi sisters might have some problems of their own, they never expected to find a position looking after a pampered pervert of a rich boy with an overblown uniform fetish, someone who wants to be addressed as goshujin-sama (master). But Nakayashi never expected to find Mitsuki’s pet alligator Pochi in one of their luggage cases. |
