This story takes place during the Heian Period of Japan`s history, when evil spirits still resided in the forests, mountains and rivers. A girl, accompanied by her loved one, battles against these evil spirits, while she is disguised as man. This brave woman, aka "Kaidomaru", with a Chinese character "Flame" tatooed on her upper arm, was one of the "Four Devas". Kaidomaru fights for the honor of her lost love, Raikou Minamotono, who had sacrified his life in order to protect the capital Kyoto, from the evils deeds of a "princess" cursed by a malicious ogre. The princess, whom Kaidomaru used to play with as a child, has now become her ultimate enemy. |

The three-woman adventure team is almost perfect. With Melissa, the Priestess (blonde); Merrill, the Thief (brown); and Genie, the Swordswoman (red), they need only a mage to balance out their team. Their efforts to recruit a student-sorceress at a magic college town are turned down flat, but the student recommends her good friend, Louie. Louie is a sorcery student who is more interested in barhopping and brawling than his studies (Oh, did I mention that Louie is a guy). Later when Melissa has a holy revelation that the headstrong, brain-weak, and all-around beefy wizard-in-training Louie is to be her champion, a choosen warrior whom she is tasked to help achieve greatness, she can only comment “IT IS AGAINST MY WILL!” But it would seem fate has a nasty sense of humor, and the three adventurers find themselves having to break-in a new team member. |

The Samurai Girl, Ryoko Mitsurugi, attends high-school which sponsors student fight events called “K Fights”. Problems between students can be settled in the combat arena, but as the present K-Fight champion, Ryoko is considered to be fair game by any student club wishing to gain status and prestige by defeating her. Then one day, Ryoko finds a strange blue-gem pendant, which (with a strange sparkle of light) transports her to a world called ‘Solvania’, where her fighting skills are put to the test in defeating a monstrous dragon creature. There she finds herself called the ‘Ogre of Yenen’, and becomes involved in a battle that transcends time and space, and even appears to threaten the world and friends that Ryoko holds so dear. |
