Microtechnology has created self-powered roller blades that allow a rider to rip along at blistering speeds, roar up walls and fly to incredible heights. And now AIR TECK (A-T) has become the new rage with all of the gangs. Ikki got the dickens kicked out of him by a roller-blade gang and the four sisters that he is staying with are not going to allow him to forget it. Of the four sisters, it falls upon fourteen-year-old Ringo to be responsible for looking after their trouble-some ‘adopted’ little brother whom they have nicknamed ‘baby-face’. When Ikki finds out that the girls are part of an A-T gang called the ‘sleeping forest’, he borrows one of their skates and rides off into the night vowing to learn to ride . A chance encounter introduces him to a cute roller-blade girl. Ikki follows her to a Stormrider (AT gang) gathering and learns that she is called Simca. Simca really seems to take a fancy for him (or perhaps she really enjoys teasing him), but when his sisters (most specifically Ringo) find out, they are not happy with Ikki’s new friend. |

In a future networked world, the option of existing in the virtual network world rivals the real world (or wired reality). The hacker group known as SteppenWolf have decided on one final hack-attack before disbanding and have set their sights on attacking FLAK, the UN Cyber Security Bureau’s servers. And everything went very wrong. Their leader, Nonomura Yuuya was killed in the cyberworld, and while the remaining three hackers succeed in jacking-out, they returned only to be arrested by the army. One of the STEPPENWOLF team, Soma Toru finds himself forcibly recruited into FLAK as an anti-hacking 'diver'. While working for the ‘otherside’, Toru still harbors strong resentments at those who killed Yuuya. But the ongoing battle and competing agendas between FLAK, the VSS security enterprise and the FEI DAO terrorist group appear to be converging on a single point in cyberspace. | |

Sometime in the distant future, Humanity has managed to survive, but only in isolated cities and through the use of cloning and robotic servants called ‘autoraves’. Life in the cities are strictly controlled by management dedicated to preserving their 'utopian' way of life. A failed DNA experiment on plants has changed the world forever. Having demolished the moon, the intelligent and aggressive plant-life has spread to the earth and destroyed the human civilization.
