Sango has the baboon-formed Naraku on the run to a waiting Miroku. Meanwhile in the pre-dawn light that marks the end of a full moon, Kagome leaves the human Inuyasha to join the battle. They force Naraku to abandon his humanoid shape in favor of that of a giant spider demon.
